There's a sequel to Dumb and Dumber ahead of us! Bobby Farrelly and Peter Farrelly who helmed the first film are indeed pushing for the sequel. Sean Anders and John Morris have already been hired to pen a script for Dumb and Dumber 2. The film is listed for a potential release in 2014 by IMDb.The official plot of Dumb and Dumber 2 hasn't been revealed yet, but Director Peter Farrelly said that we will get to see what the two dimwits are doing twenty-years later in life:
"It picks up today. It's 17 or 18 years later. It's today. And we explain what they've been doing all those years."Director Peter Farrelly
There's no official confirmation, from what I heard but it sounds like Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels will reprise their roles as Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne respectively.
